What does Terra do?

The Terra satellite has five instruments that work together to observe Earth. Terra keeps a close watch on Earth's atmosphere, ocean, land, snow, and ice. Terra's instruments provide information about Earth’s water, carbon, and energy cycles, and also provides important information about natural disasters.
